a silver thread—

falling,

unraveling

down

w

n

to the pool below:

tok

tok

on the silent skin of water.

rippling outward

in slow

widening

circles—

each tok a word

each tok a memory

floating

to the surface

and away.

listen—

tok

tok

tok

water dreaming itself

into waves

and silence.
